Handy tips from a regular Carnival Go-er
- Wear comfortable shoes… unless you want blisters – ooo try and avoid sandals at much cost! By the time you get home your feet are so manky dirty also the risk of broken glass is NOT cute
- Bring plenty of water… I am not a fan of the £2 bottle of Evian water (the small one…)
- Bring loo paper and hand sanitizer
- Try get in by car – unless you wanna drive around for hours looking for a space (also then you can have a drink!)
- There is usually a car park on Kempe Road entrance in the Kensal Rise School playground.. (prices ranging from £5-£10)
- Avoid bringing valuable things – and if you do be aware of your surroundings!
- I always bring a plaster – you never know!
We wouldn’t want something to ruin what will be one of the biggest parties of the year. There have been incidents over the years so visitors are advised to be extra vigilant. Avoid carrying expensive items and don’t put any valuable items in you back pockets. Bag’s with zips are great, I tend to rely on skinny jeans!
Get in the Carnival mood with this awesome Jerk Chicken recipe
You will need:
- 6 lb Roasting Chicken
- 1 tbsp. Salt
